Two payments are required: the "Deposit" and the rental "Balance," which consists of the sum of (a) rent, (b) cleaning charge, and (c) 13.25% transient occupancy tax (for rentals of less than 31 days).

The Deposit will hold the reservation until the due date for the Balance payment and will then, after receipt of the Balance payment, become the refundable "Security Deposit." See here for more about the Deposit.

Payment of the Deposit is acceptable by Zelle or personal check, or by credit card via PayPal (no fee applies to this payment). If the rental date is within 30 days from date of booking, payment of the  Balance is due immediately and can only be made via Zelle or personal check. If the rental date is further out than 30 days, the Balance is due 30 days prior to the rental date and may be paid:
     (1) by personal check (U.S. Bank only),
(2) by Zelle,
     (3) by transfer from your balance (not cc) of your to our PayPal account (“Friends and Family Transfer”), or
     (4) or by credit card via PayPal, in which case a 3% fee co-payment applies. For this option, we will issue an invoice via PayPal, upon which payment can conveniently and utmost securely be completed; Guest is not required to have a PayPal account. We request to be notified in advance if this option is chosen, so we can issue the invoice at the appropriate time. For rentals longer than 30 days, payments are due for 30-day increments, payable 30 days in advance.

Chasing after payments is a time-consuming activity for the owner. We WILL NOT remind of any payment due dates. A late payment fee of $50 will be automatically deducted from the deposit refund for late payment. If payment is not made within 5 days of the due date, the reservation will be canceled and the property will be opened up for other rentals, and the deposit may be forfeited. The reservations may be reinstated, and forfeited money reapplied, upon payment of the amount due, if the property is still available, at the Owner's discretion.

WE ADVISE OUR GUESTS TO PERMIT MAIL COMING FROM THE OWNER IN THEIR SPAM FILTER, AND TO BE AWARE THAT SOME RENTAL-RELATED MAIL FROM THE OWNER MAY INCLUDE PHOTOS AND ATTACHMENTS.
