FAQ — Bella Vista (“BV”) and Casa Pacis (“CP”)

Check-in time is 4:00 PM; check-out is 10:00 AM.

These times were only recently changed to accommodate more time flexibility to our housekeepers. We will make every effort to adjust to your preferred times if you let us know in advance.

We respectfully request our guests to understand that we may simply not be able to grant an earlier check-in time than 4:00 PM, or a later check-out than 10:00 am. However, should you arrive earlier, you are welcome to park your car in our parking area and start exploring the beautiful Sea Ranch. Or, after having checked out of the house by 10 am, you could leave your vehicle parked in our parking area for a last visit to the beach … but to do so, please mind that you may not park on Sea Ranch roads without proper decals. Let us also suggest a visit to one of the delightful restaurants in Gualala of The Sea Ranch Lodge. We also recommend the Timber Cove Lodge Restaurant at about mile marker 35. or the Tides Restaurant or Lucas Wharf Restaurant in Bodega Bay.

Check-Out Procedure:

[ ] Fireplace: do NOT remove hot ashes -- leave in fireplace (more here for BV and here for CP)
[ ] Space heaters: off (more here for BV and here for CP)
[ ] Furniture: back in original position
[ ] Miniblinds and vertical blinds: lowered/closed
[ ] Lights: out (check outside lights and lights in loft/mezzanine)
[ ] Skylight: in BV closed (water will stain the cedar paneling for good)
[ ] Windows and sliding glass doors: closed and latched
[ ] Hot tub cover: in place (and secured with cable and clip at Casa Pacis)
[ ] Bedding: Leave the beds you used UNMADE (more here)
[ ] Linens and towels: start washing cycle (not required, but appreciated) (more here)
[ ] Laundry: launder towels used from our supplies in addition to regular allotment
[ ] TSR guest cards: and hang tag(s): back in their original position
[ ] Refrigerator: remove everything you added
[ ] Dishes: in dishwasher, washing cycle activated
[ ] Garbage (Casa Pacis): remove from house and garage INTO BINS IN LEFT SHED (more here)
[ ] Garbage (Bella Vista): into IN-GROUND CAN AT TOP OF DRIVEWAY (more here)
[ ] Excess garbage and recyclables: TAKE HOME what does not fit into bins or can (more here)
[ ] Keys: back in lock box (more here for BV and here for CP)
[ ] Garage and front door: locked
[ ] EV charging fee: for energy refund see here for BV or here for CP
