Payment Options and Procedures
The following pertains to bookings made via our web page acviews.com. For 3rd party bookings, such as Airbnb, VRBO or alike, the method required by these firms prevails.
Payments can be by Zelle or personal check (U.S. Bank only). We are not set up to accept credit cards, except via PayPal (3% fee). Two payments are required: the refundable security "Deposit" and the rental "Balance" (consisting of the sum of total rent, cleaning/processing fee, the 12% Sonoma County transient occupancy tax (“TOT”) on rent and fees, and the 3.5% Sea Ranch Association STR-fee).
Deposit: Payment of the Deposit is required to hold the reservation. If the rental date is within 30 days from date of booking, payment of the rental Balance is due immediately.
Balance: If the rental date is further out than 30 days, the rental Balance is due 30 days prior to the rental date.
These are the payment options, presented to Guest at the the time of booking:
— by Zelle
— by personal check (U.S. Bank only);
— from the guest’s PayPal account, by balance transfer (“Friends and Family feature”) into our PayPal account;
— by cc, if the guest does not have a PayPal account (a 3% PayPal fee co-payment applies).
Chasing after payments is a time-consuming activity for the owner. Guest WILL NOT be reminded on any payment due dates. A late payment fee of $50 will automatically be deducted from the deposit refund for a Balance payment received after the due date. If payment is not made within 2 days of a “reminder,” the reservation will be canceled and the property will be opened up for other rentals, and money paid shall be forfeited. Reservations may be reinstated, and forfeited money reapplied, upon payment of the amount due, if the property is still available, at the Owner’s discretion.
