Garage; Parking
DO NOT PAIR A GARAGE DOOR OPENER BUTTON OF YOUR PRIVATE VEHICLE WITH OUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER.
(This would create havoc with the memory of our own devices). Instead, feel free to use our remote garage door opener.

Only two passenger vehicles:
The Sea Ranch Association has several rules that seem nonsensical. Only up to two passenger cars or small utility vehicles of the size fitting into a regular, residential-size garage, are OK to be parked on-site at a Sea Ranch home. PARKING OF A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE IN THE PRIVATE PARKING AREA OF A SEA RANCH HOME IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED and may trigger inconvenience and potentially substantial fines. Sea Ranch provides for free parking such larger vehicles, but that parking lot it is about 4 miles away from Bella Vista, and pre-arrangement is required. Please let us know if this applies to you, or if there will be more than two vehicles in your party.

Bella Vista has an attached 2-car garage. However, it contains some of our personal belongings, as well as housekeeping supplies and equipment and a ping pong table, etc. For these reasons, the garage is really suited for only one vehicle. However, the parking area outside of Bella Vista is large and perfectly suited for safe parking.
Guests who wish to park their vehicle in the garage should consider that the garage door opener requires electricity to operate - it cannot be done by hand or easily disengaged for hand operation. It is conceivable that a power outage occurs while a renter has a car parked in the garage. We cannot be responsible that, in such rare occasion, the guest will be unable to use the car until power is re-established. However, we can help - please call us if you get in a bind during a power outage.
The gas grill is stored in the garage and available for use by renters, but only when wheeled outside onto a gravel or concrete surface.
Also, for prolonged power outages, as may occur occasionally by PG&E as a wildfire preventative measure, we have a powerful back-up battery in the garage. Please check here for details of connection and operation of that battery.
There is a remote for the automatic garage door opener which our guests are welcome to use, but please return it to where you found it (in the desk drawer in the kitchen) when you depart.

You might find bicycles and kayaks and various other equipment in the garage. For liability reasons, these are not intended for use by our renting guests. Please bring your own recreational equipment. We may, however, upon request, entertain an exception. Guests are welcome to use the ping pong table.
