Sounds - Strange noises in and around the house
When you are in an environment as pristine as at Bella Vista, even the softest sounds generated by various equipment can be heard clearly and may be startling. Therefore be “forewarned” to the following “noises”:
— Every 8 hours the hot tub goes through a 2-minute cycle designed by the manufacturer of the pump and air blower equipment for cleaning the ducts and nozzles. This can be quite loud and may sound like a water mains break directly under the hot tub deck …*
— The hot tub heater turns on every 5-10 minutes to make make up for lost heat, running about 30 seconds. When this occurs, the circulation pump turns on at low speed, which is quiet but clearly audible from the master bedroom.*
— The refrigerator makes strange, loud noises when the ice maker breaks fresh ice loose from the ice trays and drops it into the ice bin. There is no remedy for that. The hum of the compressor of the refrigerator is barely audible from the master bedroom.
— The air intake for the heating furnace is in the entry area in front of the MBR door. Upon automatic turning on or off the furnace fan, the filter inside the duct system may be changing position and “bang” against the metal housing. This makes a sound similar to “closing a door” … rest assured that no intruder is banging a door … 😁.
— The dishwasher is a silent Bosch model and barely audible.

* If you are not using the hot tub during your stay and are bothered by these sounds, you are welcome to turn off the circuit double-breaker to the hot tub. Find the circuit breaker box in the wall to the right of the door from the house to the garage. Make sure to turn it back on before you depart.
