Domestic Water Heating

Bella Vista has a “tankless propane fired water heater.” The “tankless” operation causes two minor operational differences to a conventional water heater:

(1) It will take a bit longer than “usual” for the water to be hot at the faucet (about 1 min in the kitchen and 2 min in the bathrooms)

(2) You need to have a minimum flow rate of about 0.5 gpm to trigger the propane flame to ignite. If you use juswt a very small trickle flow, the water will remain cold … (0.5 gpm would fill one milk bottle in about a minute …!!!).

During the unlikely event of a POWER OUTAGE and your strong desire to take a hot shower or alike, even though there is no power, press HERE to learn how you can connect the propane-powered domestic water heater to run on a back-up battery system.
