We, Klaus and Gundi Heinemann built Casa Pacis in 1982 and have been offering this vacation home for rent since 1983. The home provides excellent views, modest but sufficient amenities, is well maintened, all commensurate with being offered at reasonable pricing.  Come and stay in Casa Pacis. Your expectations are key:

— If you expect to come to a modest, charming, small, clean and comfortable 40-year old home in a fantastic unobstructed white water view location with superb privacy, yet close to the famous “Walk-on-Beach” in Sea Ranch, just a meadow and sand dunes between your rental home and the ocean;
— if you expect to see and hear the sounds of waves crashing onto the nearby beach, and enjoy expansive vistas of the ocean, and all that from everywhere inside your rental home;
— if you expect to be able to step out of your rental home and walk just a about a hundred yards to a wide, white sand beach with endless amounts of driftwood, waiting for you to build your own “castle on the beach,” all while you may well be the only person on that beach;
— if you like to hike or jog or meditatively walk on the many miles long Sea Ranch trail north and south from Casa Pacis along the ocean bluff, while only very occasionally seeing another person on the trail;
— or if you like to take your bicycle on an easy road trip on tens of miles of private Sea Ranch roads west of Hwy One, or if you prefer to take your mountain bike on a challenging single-track ride in the endless nearby mountenous terrain;
— if you want to vacation in an environment devoid of overhead power-lines, where you miraculously see almost no parked or moving cars:
— if you like to play tennis or pickleball or swim in a half-Olympic size swimming pool, all fees included in your rental of Casa Pacis;
— if you appreciate a fiber-optics based fast (>100 MBPM up and down) reliable, free and unlimited Wifi in your vacation home;
— if you like the Northern California coastal weather but feel gratefully surprised when you find out that it is even warmer and sunnier than what you expected; and
— if you expect to be able to enjoy privacy and soak in the best of nature away from it all,

if you are looking for such an experience of superlatives, you will indeed not be disappointed. The overwhelming majority of our guests who came with a sense of appreciation, and with a certain preparedness to take in the charm of this modestly priced modest place — as we offer it at our personal taste — were greatly rewarded.

But if you expect Casa Pacis to be large, brand-new villa amply equipped with the most modern appliances and electronic gadgets, The Sea Ranch or Casa Pacis — where we attempt to deliver the best of the above superlatives at affordable pricing (typically at less than half of what you would pay there) — may not make the cut.

Renting Casa Pacis

During the last 4 decades, we made Casa Pacis available for rent well over 3000 nights in aggregate, to over 1000 people, many of whom became valued repeat renters. Our efforts to make each rental a unique, enjoyable experience for our customers is undiminished. Three thick guest books, with hundreds of individual entries, attest to the success of these efforts.
